The National Consultation is scheduled for 20th November 2021 from 11.00 am to 1.00 pm IST. The Event will include a panel discussion among distinguished mediators of the country, critically analyzing the Draft Mediation Bill prepared by the Government and released for public comments.

 

The Consultation will be preceded by an Inaugural Address by Hon'ble Justice M.L. Mehta followed by an Opening Note by Senior Advocate Sriram Panchu.

 

The panel of the Consultation includes leading mediators of India: 

 

  • Amarjit Singh Chandhiok (Senior Advocate); 

  • Chitra Narayan (Advocate and Accredited Mediator); 

  • Uma Ramanathan (Advocate, Mediator and Mediation Trainer) and

  • Dr. Aman Hingorani (Advocate-on-Record and Mediator).

Webinar on International Arbitration

CADR is organizing a Webinar on “Future Prospects of International Arbitration: Role and Opportunities for India” on the 6th of December, 2020. The themes for the discussion are: 

  1. The effectiveness of International Investment Arbitration in resolving disputes in a post-Covid-19 world.

  2. Possible reforms and changes in international arbitration due to Covid-19.

  3. Future prospects of the Indian Arbitration framework, particularly in possible amendments and honoring arbitral awards, to generate investor confidence.
